What is a Hex Bolt?

What is a Hex Bolt? A Hexagon Bolt, commonly known as Hex Bolts , are threaded fasteners with a hexagonal head shape. This type of bolt is made to be installed using a spanner. Hexagon Bolts are preferred for their robust shape, which makes them suitable for more heavy duty fastening applications. Hexagon bolts are also usually available in larger sizes than alternative fasteners. Hex bolts are six sided heads that are the industry standard for fasteners with forged heads. American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) A307 grade A bolts, all SAE hex bolts, and various other common specifications require a standard (finished) hex head. For specifications such like as A307 grade B, A325 and A490 that require a heavy hex pattern, points to dimensional tolerances for heavy hex bolts or structural bolts. Hex Bolts Hex Bolts are known as • Hex head bolts  • Cap screws  • Hex cap screws  • Hex head cap screws  • Machine bolts  • Hex machine bolts  • Hex head machine bolts  •

What is a Stud Bolt?

What is a Stud Bolt? In Petro & chemical industry for flange connections Stud Bolts   are used. The Stud Bolt can be defined as a threaded rod with 2 heavy hexagon nuts. The number of bolts for a flange connection will be given by the number of bolt holes in a flange, diameter and length of bolts is totally dependent of flange type and Pressure Class of flange. Stud Bolt length are defined in (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) ASME B16.5 standard. The length in inches is equal to the effective thread length measured parallel to the axis, from the first to the first thread without the chamfers points. First thread is described as the intersection of the major diameter of the thread with the base of the point. Stud Bolt Threads of the Stud Bolts Bolts threading are described in (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) ASME B1.1 Unified Inch Screw Threads, (UN and UNR Thread Form). The most common type of thread is a symmetrical form with a V-profile. The included angle is 6

What is a Screw? What are the Types of Screws?

What is a Screw? A screw and a bolt are identical types of fasteners generally made of metal, and described by a helical ridge, also known as a male thread (external thread). Screws and bolts are used to fasten materials by the engagement of the screw thread with a identical female thread (internal thread) in the matching part. Screws are usually self-threading also known as self tapping where the thread cuts into the material when the screw is turned, creating an internal thread that helps pull fastened materials together and prevent pull out. There are many screws for a variety of materials those commonly fastened by screws including wood, sheet metal, and plastic.   Screw Types Of Screws :- -) Wood Screws -) Machine Screws -) Hex Cap Screws -) Lag Screw -) Socket Screws -) Drywall Screws If you want quality Industrial fasteners for your business , you can call us at  +971-506349042, +971 6 575 1335 .
