  • The automatic screw machine works with a disc cam, which rotates the tools to the work-piece bay. A collet holds the work-piece in place. 
  • The bar stock passes through the collet into the headstock which clamps it.
  • The headstock moves along with the bar in a Z pattern to cut the feed material.
